Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Forged Peak Software (“Forged Peak,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information in connection with the website located at forgedpeaksoftware.com (the “Site”) and the professional software development services we provide (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Site or Services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Forged Peak Software is a sole-proprietor software engineering studio operated by Daniel (“Dan”). For any privacy request, contact us at daniel@forgedpeaksoftware.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit the intake form or otherwise contact us, we collect the information you choose to send us, which typically includes your name, email address, company name, a description of the project or problem, and your indicated budget range.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We receive limited transaction metadata (such as amount, currency, purchase date, and a masked reference) necessary to fulfill and account for the purchase.
Communications. We retain the emails and messages you send us, along with our replies, so we can service your project and keep records.
Automatically collected data. Our hosting and analytics providers may automatically log basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. This data is used for security, abuse prevention, and to understand aggregate Site usage.
Cookies. The Site uses only strictly necessary cookies required for the Site and form submission to function. We do not currently set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. How we use information
- To respond to inquiries, provide quotes, and deliver the Services;
- To process payments and issue receipts through our payment processor;
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and Services;
- To send transactional messages (e.g., project updates, invoices);
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights, property, and safety, and those of our clients and the public.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information for third-party advertising.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: (a) your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); (b) the performance of a contract with you; (c) our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site and communicating with prospects and clients; and (d) compliance with legal obligations.
5. Service providers & disclosures
We share information only with vetted service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, and only as needed to run the Services. Current categories include:
- Hosting & database: Lovable Cloud (Supabase-backed infrastructure) for site delivery and secure storage of intake submissions.
- Email delivery: Resend, Inc., for transactional email notifications.
- Payments: Stripe, Inc.
- Domain and DNS providers, and general-purpose developer tooling used to run our business.
We may also disclose information (a) to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or lawful government request; (b) to enforce our Terms & Conditions or investigate potential violations; (c) to protect the rights, property, or safety of Forged Peak, our clients, or others; or (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to customary confidentiality protections.
6. Client data & project confidentiality
When you engage us for a project, we may receive access to your systems, credentials, documents, or end-user data (“Client Data”). We treat Client Data as confidential, use it solely to deliver the Services, and do not access, mine, or share it for any other purpose. We will delete or return Client Data upon written request after project completion, subject to any legally required retention.
7. Data retention
We retain intake submissions and business correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, to maintain business records, and to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, secret management, and least-privilege database policies. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International transfers
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other jurisdictions. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) offered by those providers.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. California residents have rights under the CCPA/ CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do neither). To exercise any right, email daniel@forgedpeaksoftware.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Children
The Site and Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites (e.g., Stripe checkout). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date above indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page; continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
